Sensory Processing is how our brains make sense of the sounds, sensation, and other information it receives from our senses. With chronic poor sensory processing, children may struggle with coping and adapting to daily activities. Poor sensory processing could appear in delayed motor skills, extreme emotional responses, or frequent distress.
It is often difficult for parents to interpret what is prompting frequent emotional distress for their child. This can lead to frustration, exhaustion, and disruption in daily activities for both parent and child leaving little time for the family to mutually enjoy one another and as they move through daily routines.
